With the leadership and creativity of Bill Gates at the helm, and with the enviable balance sheet of Microsoft, I predict that Microsoft will continue to be the Giant in ten years.

Others will come and go. While many may try to chip away and some may gain some market share, it is doubtful that any can match the resources, both peoplewise and financially of Microsoft. Plus Microsoft has the proven track record.

The magic is Bill Gates and the "spirit" of Microsoft. Unless and until he relinquishes the "reins" to others who begin making major changes in corporate direction and raiding the company profits, Microsoft will remain the Giant of all time. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." And, Microsoft definitely doesn't need fixing.

I use Microsoft software in my business daily, Office Professional 97, and of course use the Microsoft Operating systems on all my computers. Why, because Microsoft has the leading edge and is always trying to improve its products. Office 97 is a definite improvement. For every one of me, there are thousands of others. And, this is the other reason that Miscrosoft will still be a Giant in 10 years.

Good luck!. As a personal opinion, if I had only a small amount to invest, I would definitely put it in one of the leaders today, and Microsoft is an excellent choice. Smaller, more unknown and speculative companies should only be considered, in my opinion, after you have sound investments. They are more like playing the "slot machine".
I personally have lost bigtime on stocks that were recommended by brokerage houses and brokers, but the profits and growth that Microsoft, Intel and others have generated, have more than made up for the losses. And Microsoft is something I asked my broker to buy. Computers are here to stay. And, so is Microsoft!

Have a Great Day! The Rivah Lady
