Does anyone here build wooden gear pendulum clocks?

It's become my latest hobby. I started with zero woodworking skills but wanted to learn how to build a clock. So I found a site that sells kits. Below is a link to some pictures and short videos of the first 2 clocks I built.

The dual pendulum clock is a tribute to my clock making hero, John Harrison. Longitude, by Dava Sobel is a must read.

Each kit took about a 4-6 weeks to build (hey, I work full time). They also took another 3-4 weeks to get running smoothly and accurately, definitely a testament to my poor woodworking skills, not the kits.

Perseverance, or as my wife says, stubbornness, is an asset.

I am now the proud owner of a workbench and some new tools. I am currently working on a third model, but this time I am making some major modifications to the kit.
