Would you please tell us more about Republic Wireless? Just started reading their website and really like the price but, as with most cell phone websites, I feel as though I keep reading in circles.

Our big thing is coverage--we live in a rural area--most places are not going to have public WiFi available. Even cellular is iffy in a lot of spots. If I end up using cell exclusively, is that a problem? How often do calls drop if you're screaming down the highway, switching from tower to tower? (My husband, especially, makes a lot of work calls while he's driving.)

And I take it you have to switch to a "smart phone" that's considerably more fragile than what I have currently. (One even went through the wash--battery only holds a charge for half a day, but otherwise works fine.) I really object to the throw-away mentality of so many of the gadgets these days.

Thanks.
Kathleen
