Wow. Thanks for all the advise so far. A little more, I'm 48 yrs old, with no attachments nor big ticket items/debt, with the exception of my house. I have a good paying job, put in the max into my retirement plan. I have about $100,000 in Federal TSP Retirement plan, that I won't need to touch until I have to. I have an emergency fund already. Plus a get a monthly pension ($4900). I guess I wanted to see what happens after 5 years (maybe retire from current job). Again thanks for all your help - I might put half in a 5 yr CD or like and the other half in an index fund.
