I wanted to submit this good post by fneww on the Yahoo board as butressing my general "whatever Bert says will be announced as dead wrong within a week" contrarian theory. I also feel Intel may be ditching plans for a SDRAM version of the P4 for mainstream markets, with good reason.

change in Intel's processor roadmap. See the link below which shows that w/o monitor in the first half of 2001 mainstream 2 systems $1200- $1500 were supposed to be occupied by P3 933 MHz processors. Dell is now advertising its 1.3 GHz P4 with a 19 in monitor for $1599 and w/o monitor subtract $300, making it a mainstream 2 system. Mainstream 2 is the sweet spot for PC desktop sales so Intel has now advanced its roadmap by some six months or more which suggests that they may be ditching plans for a SDRAM version of the P4 for mainstream markets as the P4 with RDRAM is already in that space. This could be the catalyst for a major move in the stock, once wall street sees what Intel is now up to-
