Yes thanks.... 796,000 tests per day.

I don't know what avg rates will be. TLDR... for now they may be near $100/PCR test!

This has Medicare rates between $30-$50+ / test: https://revcycleintelligence.com/news/cms-releases-medicare-...

I don't have links handy but have seen some reports that private insurance is paying $100-$200 per PCR virus test (less for antibody testing)

On the Quidel board there's a link from TMFer Jim Crumley saying Quidel expects about $20-$25/test for its 15 minute tests. US Government bought 800,000 tests and sending 400 to each of 2000 nursing homes and the required machine to use.

If you look at this contract just 1 state (NY) agreed to pay $150 million for testing between May and July 25 to OPK. Will they renew?

https://www.bioreference.com/new-york-state-to-pay-biorefere...

Also if you dig into details of deal OPK struck with NFL I've seen reports of 120 tests/team/day ad about $100/test. NFL expects to send $75 million on testing this season: https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/report_nfl_to_spend_...

So if we estimated $20-$100 revenue per test at current rates testing companies are raking in about $15-$80 million/day. At 6 million tests/day between them they'll get $120-$600 million PER DAY.

Quest, Labcorp, OPKO (Bio Reference Labs) will benefit. Quest had earnings out today with minimal market enthusiasm. But it sports a $17 Billion market cap. I've recently taken a decent position in OPK, and looking for small cap companies that are going to take advantage of this potential windfall.

This is bigger than vaccines, vaccine you need once, but if you are important person you'll get tested pretty frequently. See NFL program above, or President Trump who is tested multiple times per day probably also many in white house and presumably using Abbott or Roche tests -- they are big players but huge conglomerates so not fitting my criteria.
