I think you've gotten plenty of mileage out of the 5s iPhone. If we compare your phone to a vehicle, you've driven that sucker for 300K+ miles and - IMO - it's high time to move on.

6s and SE are the oldest iPhones that will support iOS 13.

Nice choices at decent price points for the XR ($599) and the iPhone 11 ($699) to get you through the next 5 or 6 years. 1825 to 2190 days puts the average daily cost of ownership for the device itself on those two models would be out of pocket for 27 cents to 38 cents per day (before including sales tax and Apple Care+). You'll love on of the newer phones/cameras!
