Yes you have to have a unique IP address on each computer. You can setup a private lan to share one connection by using a proxy server but the setup is complex (Lots of configuration on both the server and client levels). An easier solution is to use a NAT program. Check out:

how can you hook up multiple computer with one connection? Don't u need separate ip addresses for each computer connected to the hub?
