Yield on the 30 year today is 2.68% or so.

I know we're hearing predictions that rates will go up this years, today's bonds will lose value, etc, etc. But we heard a lot of that talk a year ago, also.
ML was dead wrong last year, and some small outfit that Barron's wrote about were correct.

The reason I'm bringing this thread back is the Up and Down Wall Street column in this week's Barrons on page 7. According to the article, the median forcast for the yield on the 10-year at end of 2015 is 3.24...the gentleman interviewed in the column is thinking below 1.5%.

Everyone has a prediction, nearly all turn out wrong. But you might want to read the column before selling off your bonds.
