True story: Shortly after I had made my first IRA contribution, probably sometime in the 80's, I read a recommendation on this company called Berkshire Hathaway. I looked it up and looked at my IRA account, and said to myself, "This is nuts. No way am I going to put my entire IRA balance into one (ONE) share of a stock. Absurd to pay $2000 for one share."

You know what that one share is worth today? To me: nothing. Because I didn't buy it. But the person who did buy it is grinning every day.
