You better be careful, I live in that "bad neighborhood." SIRI has that NY snobbery/elitism that has always driven me nuts. IMO paying over 95 dollars a square foot is wrong compared to 48 and then eventually owning your building. It's the way it is done in the "bad neighborhood."
And another interseting fact about DC - it is the number one place for commercial and private real estate investing. Just ask DC's marketing board.

BTW - my "bad neighborhood" property values increased 24% last year....
