You can leave it in the terminal waiting area or give it to a departing passenger. That gives you one less thing to carry with you, and it makes it a little more interesting for the people watching the journey of their book.

I love the idea, but I don't think anybody should leave any object in a terminal, what with the possibility that someone may think it could be a small bomb or something like that.
