It’s not often you have the chance to help educate kids in low-income communities just by sounding off about the stock market, or quoting Monty Python. With the launch of this year’s Foolanthropy campaign, you have just such an opportunity. Check out Tom and Marthe’s article for all the details.

The response from the members of the Fool community has been terrific so far. As of yesterday, December 3, the members of the Fool community have, through their comments, racked up $2,187.60 to help out the Thurgood Marshall Academy. But we’re just getting started.

As your Friendly Neighborhood Data Fool, I’ll be monitoring how many comments the community has generated. You can check this blog for updates on how your participation is increasing the size of the donation.
