You could try giving the spinach the Alton Brown treatment. When you get it home, dump it all in a sink full of cold water and let it soak (rehydrate) for a while.

This also helps to revive some spinach that has been in the refridgerator for a while. Let it soak in cold water for a while and often it does perk up.
