Dear Fools,

We are developing a new free service specifically targeted at helping people get out of credit card debt and we’d like your help!

Please join us in a live chat on Friday, November 4th at 3 pm EST. The link to the live chat is:

http://caps.fool.com/Blogs/live-chat-regarding-credit/663605...

The Motley Fool is working on ways to give back to “The World” and we’ve created a new division with the purpose: “To prepare the world to invest.”

Our first mission is to take an active role in helping to solve the credit card debt problem in America. Since you’re an active participant on our message boards that relate to consumer debt and/or living below your means, we’d love your thoughts on what this new service should offer.

We’re envisioning a website that offers content, tools and community. Akin, perhaps, to the Weight Watchers model – but free! We also want to be an independent 3rd party reference for where to go for additional help if you’re beyond a do-it-yourself situation.

The questions we’d like to discuss on Friday are:

1.What kind of content would you be looking for if you were trying to get out of credit card debt? What topics would you be most interested in?

2.What tools would you like to see? Are there other websites out there that are doing interesting things that we should take a look at?

3.What aspects of “community” would appeal to you? Is a general discussion board enough, or would you like to see different discussion groups you could join? If so, how do you think those groups should be broken out? Should we let members create their own groups as they see fit?

4.Would you “like” a Facebook page dedicated to credit card debt?

5.What kinds of tips, tools or information would keep you engaged and coming back? i.e. tips of the day, quotes, statistics, calculators, badges or rewards for paying down your debt?

6.Are there any other components that we’ve not mentioned that you’d find compelling in this offering?

7.Finally, we need a name. What words or feelings come to mind when you think about credit card debt?

If you can’t attend the live chat, but would be interested in providing input on the questions above, please feel free to email me directly at aandrae@fool.com. I’m looking forward to speaking with each of you on
Friday afternoon. Thanks in advance for your participation!

Sincerely,
Angelique Andrae
