ZorroFool asks:

<<Maybe I'm going totally off on a tangent here, but I seem to recall some mention about a 403b(7) on these boards (my Search isn't working, so I can't be sure). But my question is this: if her district only offers a 403b in annuities, can she go to a discount broker and create a 403b (in mutual funds) instead of going through the district's annuity plan? Or does that depend on the district's plan (like it must allow her to do this or something)? >>

She can in most plans, but there's a question about that which I have been unable to resolve. See the thread that starts at message number 8407 (http://boards.fool.com/registered/Message.asp?id=1040013002163000&sort=id ).
